Singapore Heroes!

Singapore-based board game. 

a)    What were you inspired by?

        We were inspired by the board game Cluedo and thought it would be          

         interesting to add a more Singaporean feel to it. 

b)    What sort of experience / message are you hoping your game will bring     

        across to the player?

We are hoping that this game can allow players to recognise everyday heroes like migrant workers, cleaners, teachers and more. By recognise, we meant that we want people to recognise the efforts of  migrant workers which are often overlooked. The 5W1H cards can let players know more about the lives of  migrant workers and other heroes and thus appreciate their hard work and patience. We hope this game can be  fun while also educating players on the life of SG heroes. 

c)    Why did you end up choosing this direction for your game?

We were actually working on a Monopoly inspired board game but after the  theme was revealed, we realised that it has no relation to it. We decided to make another board game with more relation to the theme “Everyday Heroes”. We tried to make a game that is more unique in terms of gameplay. As a result, we referenced to the game ‘Among us’ and ‘werewolf’ to transform the board game into a role-guessing game.
